Emily Carpenter
Emily is a literary and textual studies major and has a special interest in works by Virginia Woolf. In her free time, Emily enjoys writing short stories and drinking apple crisp macchiatos.
Jesenia Zavala
My name is Jesenia Zavala co-editor of the York Review website. I am a professional writing major with a creative writing minor. One fact about me is that I speak 3 languages.
Bradyn Yerges
Bradyn is a third-year writing major at York College and is the assistant editor of The York Review Website. The little free time he has between work and school is mostly spent watching/collecting films, exploring new music, or spending time with his family.
Lee Krauss
Lee is a senior Literary + Textual Studies and Professional Writing major. This semester, they're the Editor of the York Review. They are also a peer tutor in the Writing Center. In their spare time, Lee likes to read sapphic horror novels, write poetry, and spend time with their little black cat, Enid.
Alex Merritt
Alex is a senior Professional Writing major with Music and Communications minors. They are the Managing Editor for the 30th Edition of the York Review. They also work as a writing tutor in the Writing and Communication Studio and the Music Director at WVYC 88.1 FM. In their free time, Alex enjoys reading, listening to music, and snuggling with their cat, Luna.
JaNýa Brown
JaNýa Brown is a senior Forensic Chemistry major with a PreMed focus from Rochester, New York, but currently resides in Fort Meade, Maryland. During her time at YCP, she has lab assisted in Chemistry, tutored across the STEM subjects, and participated in many different organizations on campus. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. During her free time, JaNýa can be found reading or crocheting. One fun fact about JaNýa is that she has done research every summer at three different institutions. After graduation, JaNýa plans to do a post-baccalaureate research program before applying to MD-Ph.D programs.

Lauren Rettig
Lauren Rettig is a fourth-year Professional Writing student at YCP. Her interests include creative writing, jewelry, dinosaurs, and Legos (not in that order). You can often find Lauren in the Humanities building, listening to City Morgue and typing on her laptop.
Ashlyn Bellman
Ashlyn Bellman is a senior studying Entrepreneurship and Innovation; she is also minoring in Professional Writing. This semester she is working as an assistant editor for the print edition of the York Review. In addition she is a peer writing tutor and manager of a floral department. When she is not at school or working, Ashlyn loves to garden and spend time with her friends, family, and pets.
Amari Thompson
Hello everyone! My name is Amari Thompson and I'm a Professional Writing Major with a Minor in French Studies. I am a cheerleader for York and I love reading classic literature. When I'm not at school, I am either hanging out with friends or doing tarot and oracle readings for those questioning the future. After college, I plan on working at a publishing firm in France and to soon release novels in French.
